Islam, as we know, is one of the major religion of the world. About 30% of the world's population follows this faith. sla is derived from the root word SALAM, which in arabic means peace. It also means submitting one's will to almighty God. So, in short, Islam means "peace acquired by submitting one's will to almighty God". And the one who subits his/her will to almighty God is known as Muslim. So, Islam is practice more than a religion. This means, just by being born in a muslim family don't make him Muslim, but he/she has to practice Islam.

There are few things one has to compulsorily practice, to be under the boundary of this faith. The first point is to have faith on TAWHEED, which in arabic means to have faith in oneness of God, and to believe that there is only one creator, sustainer and cherisher of this universe. The second point is to believe in RISALAAT, which in arabic means to believe in messengerhood. That is to believe in all the messengers from Adam to last prophet Muhammad. The last point is to believe in AAKHIRAT, which in arabic means to believe in the life after death. That is to belive in the Judgement day, and in the life of heaven and hell.
